The Goldfields Kids Duathlon is back! This is a fun event for kids from pre-school through to 13 years of age with some great spot prizes up for grabs.
DJ Ricky K is donating his time on the day to keep everyone entertained and informed, and Mr Whippy and a coffee van will be in attendance, offering extra motivation to get little and big people alike to the start line.
Registration from 9am with the first race at 10.00am
5-13 years $20
Pre-schoolers $5
Team of two $40 ($20 each, team members must be from the same age group/gender)
Pre-School Boys, Pre-School Girls: 50m bike & 50m run
Age 5-6 Boys, Age 5-6 Girls: 500m bike, 500m run, 50m run
Age 7-8 Boys, Age 7-8 Girls: 1km bike, 1 km run, 50m run
Age 9-10 Boys, Age 9-10 Girls: 1km run, 2km bike, 50m run
Age 11-13 Boys, Age 11-13 Girls: 2km run, 3km bike, 50m run
COVID-19 Protocols - please note this event will only go ahead at Alert Levels 1 or 2
LEVEL 2 PROTOCOLS
With changes to Alert Level 2 that were announced on Monday October 4 2021 we are now able to host this event at Alert Level 2.
Changes mean that we do not have to limit the number of spectators - but all spectators and participants must follow Level 2 requirements
* Masks must be worn by spectators over the age of 12. Competitors can remove masks to compete
* All adults must scan in using the Ministry of Health QR Code
* All adults must sign in to the school grounds using the Skool Loop QR Code or APP (This is a Ministry of Education Requirement)
* All spectators must adhere to social distancing rules for events i.e. 1m apart for outdoor events

This will be updated should we move to Alert Level 1 prior to the event
Terms and Conditions
Waiver: I have read and agree that:
*I agree that my child participates in the event at his/her own risk, and I waive all liability against the event organisers.
*I agree to attend and listen to the briefing prior to the start with my child and that my child will follow the course set out and obey all instructions given by event officials.
*I agree my child will wear a NZ Safety Approved helmet at all times while cycling during this event, including while warming up/down. I agree I shall ensure my child has the correct sized bicycle and helmet and that his/her bicycle and helmet complies with the appropriate Australian/New Zealand Standard and is in proper working order and mechanically fit for participation in this event.
*I further agree I am solely responsible for the safety of all members of my family/accompanying persons at the site and I am responsible for their actions and whereabouts at all times. I hereby release, waive, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the event organisers and all volunteers from any liability for personal injury, property damage, property theft and all other foreseeable risks, claims or actions of any kind, including negligence, whatever and however occurring, which may arise at any time from, or in connection with, directly or indirectly, my child(ren’s) participation in or attendance at this event.
*I agree my child may be disqualified from the event if he/she does not abide by the rules. I authorise my child’s name and photograph to be use without permission, promotion, or in any other way relating to the event, pursuant to the Privacy Act 1003.
